About Me
I am an amateur photographer and professional stagehand with a background in design and technology for the theatre. I live, work, and take photographs in the vicinity of Princeton, New Jersey.
I discovered an interest in taking pictures somewhere around the age of 15 with my parents' 35mm point-and-shoot. In 2002, when I was a sophomore in college, I adopted my father's old manual SLR and started really learning the mechanics of photography. My current camera is a Cannon Digital Rebel XSi.
Though much of my professional work is concerned with the mechanical aspects of making things move when they're supposed to and not fall down when they're not supposed to, the intentional manipulation of light, form, and visual composition that takes place on stage is a large part of what draws me to theatre. It is the same interest that draws me to photography.
About This Site
The purpose of this site is to provide both an outlet and an impetus for my photography habit. It is a continual work in progress. My
Daily Photos gallery is by far the most active, but I hope to add photos to other galleries periodically.
